BOSAT addresses contemporary issues from the perspective of Buddhist philosophy, seeking to explore how timeless teachings can offer clarity, balance, and ethical guidance in today’s rapidly changing world. While the periodical places special emphasis on the younger generation (Gen Z), contributions that speak meaningfully to all readers are welcome.e to the growth of the BOSAT periodical, considering the timely need of the nation.
Themes & Topics
BOSAT welcomes articles that thoughtfully address contemporary life through the lens of Buddhist philosophy. Contributions should reflect how Buddhist teachings can offer insight, balance, and ethical direction in personal, social, and cultural contexts.
Suggested areas include (but are not limited to):
Personal Development and Mindfulness
Reflections on self-awareness, emotional balance, discipline, and inner growth grounded in Buddhist practice.
Social Harmony and Ethical Living
Articles exploring compassion, integrity, responsibility, and coexistence in family, community, and society.
Dhamma in the Age of Technology and AI
Thoughtful engagement with modern technology, artificial intelligence, and digital life, viewed from a Buddhist perspective.
Lives and Legacies of Noble Practitioners
Biographical reflections on monks, teachers, and lay practitioners whose lives exemplify Buddhist values.
Note: BOSAT is not limited to the above themes. We welcome timely, relevant contributions that align with the spirit and values of the periodical.
Submission Guidelines
To ensure clarity and consistency, contributors are kindly requested to observe the following:
- Length: Articles should generally be between 400 and 600 words.
- Language: English is preferred. However, up to two articles in Sinhala may be considered per issue.
- Originality Declaration: Authors must confirm that their submission is original and does not violate copyright.
- Author Responsibility: Contributors retain full responsibility for the views and content expressed in their articles.
All submissions are subject to editorial review. The editorial committee reserves the right to edit accepted articles for clarity and style while preserving the author’s original intent.
Editorial Process
1. Review & Feedback
All articles are reviewed by the editorial committee. We will provide feedback for any necessary revisions.
2. Final Decision
After revisions, the committee makes the final acceptance decision based on quality and relevance.
3. PublicationReview & Feedback
The committee will decide the most suitable month for publication based on the current editorial calendar.

Editorial Review
All submissions are moderated and peer reviewed by the BOSAT Editorial Committee.
Articles are considered based on their clarity, relevance, originality, and alignment with the spirit and values of the periodical.
The editorial committee may suggest revisions and will determine the most suitable issue for publication.
